It was celebration galore for FC Ramond Football Club as the team against all odds defeated ECAS Football Club at the Zumuratul Islamiyah Grammar School, Ikorodu, Lagos State, in the ongoing Lagos FA Cup to book a place in the next round of the competition.

After a pulsating 1-1 draw in the pulsating encounter, both tema have to settled for Penalty shootout to separate the two teams.

 

Idris Nafiu Opeyemi was the hero for the Ramond FC Team, as the Goalkeeper made crucial saves during the match before saving a spot kick to send his team to the next round of the knockout phase.

Lawal Natasid Suleiman scored the decisive penalty that have the team victory.

The players, Coach and Management Staff of FC Ramond couldn’t hold back their joy as they ran to the pitch to jubilate their triumph.

With Thai victory, the Team have qualified for the next phase of the competition.

Chief Executive Officer and Founder of FC Ramond, Oluwaremilekun Adebanjo, praised the resilience, determination and zeal of his team to record that victory.

He is however optimistic that the team will soar higher in their next match, and improve on the lapses.

The Team is presently playing in the Ikeja Divisional League where it recorded an away win in their last match against a team in Mowe Area of Ogun State.
