Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State is a happy man.

 

He has been confirmed as the duly elected Governor of Ondo State following the Ondo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Akure, the state capital, which has upheld the victory of Aiyedatiwa, Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the November 16 2024 Governorship election in the state.

 

It upheld the Governor’s victory after dismissing the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its Candidate, Agboola Ajayi, for lacking merit.

 

Agboola had approached the Court, challenging the emergence of Aiyedatiwa as Governor of Ondo State.

 

With the verdict of the Tribunal, the PDP Candidate could approach a Superior to challenge the verdict.
