Levi Colwill, Ethan Ampadu, Billy Gilmour and Michy Batshuayi have all been placed on the chopping block as Chelsea announced the Confirmed Squad Numbers of 26 Players for the 2022/23 Season.
There has been speculations over the future of some Chelsea Players at Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season but there has been some clarity after the West London club announced the shirt number that their Players will wear for next season.
The quartet of Levi Colwill, Ethan Ampadu, Billy Gilmour and Michy Batshuayi are all missing and weren’t given shirt number which means that these 4 players will surely not be in the squad next season.
Of course, there are some Players like Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Marcos Alonso, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Callum Hudson-Odoi whose future are still under doubt but all of them got shirt number.
While some of them might end up staying at Chelsea this season, others might leave the West London club permanently or on loan deals.
There’s no change in the shirt numbers from last season as all the Players will still wear the same number that they wore last season.
Summer Signings Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Carney Chukwuemeka have been given shirt number 17, 26 and 30 respectively. Emerson Palmieri still got to keep his old shirt number 33 while Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher got shirt number 18 and 23 respectively.
