Chelsea’s poor form continued as they were thrashed 4-0 by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in a tense FA Cup match, and I completely blame today’s results on Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

The Blues Manager used a feeble lineup today, which hampered Chelsea’s performance from the start. City got off to a flying start, taking the lead in the 23rd minute thanks to a sublime free-kick from Riyad Mahrez.

Seven minutes later, City was awarded a penalty after Kai Havertz handled in the box, which Julian Alvarez converted with ease. Phil Foden then extended City’s lead with a one-touch strike after a fine team move.

The Blues came out in the second half determined to make a comeback, but City remained composed throughout the game and were able to get their fourth goal after Mahrez scored from the spot in the 85th minute following a poor tackle from Koulibaly in the 18-yard box. The game ended 4-0, with City booking their place in the next round of the FA Cup.

It is now clear that the Chelsea manager lacks the mentality required for such a big club. He faced City three times this season and lost all. That is unquestionably a poor track record, not to mention the other losses in the league. He should be replaced immediately with a new manager, in my opinion, before things get out of hand.
