Ahead of the 2023 general elections, popular Nollywood actress and film maker Bimbo Akintola during a recent interview disclosed some of the reasons why she has chosen to support the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu. Bimbo who’s a member of the Tinubu/Shettima PCC.

Bimbo revealed that Tinubu has supported a lot of young people and that even some of the common names in politics today like osinbajo, Fashola etc were all brought up through Tinubu’s cabinet. She further revealed that she doesn’t like talking about politics on social media but it was now necessary to do so because everyone has the right to support the candidates they want without being bullied.

While speaking further on Tinubu’s qualities, she disclosed that the APC flag bearer has helped a lot of people in the nollywood industry. She said when Nollywood an actress, Moji Olaiya who was outside the country at the time, it was Tinubu who brought her back to Nigeria and paid for everything. She added that Tinubu helps lots of actors even without knowing them.

In her words, she said “When we (nollywood) lost Moji Olaiya (an actress), and she was not in the country, he brought her in and paid for everything. So many actors have received help from him and he doesn’t know them from anywhere. He helps, he builds talent.
