Actress Foluke Daramola Salako has taken to her official Instagram page to accuse Lagos State’s Labour Party Gubernatorial candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV), of abandoning her husband, Mr. Kayode Salako, after granting him a party ticket. Daramola also criticized GRV for replacing Yoruba candidates for the House of Assembly with Igbos, warning commenters on her page to refrain from insulting her.
According to Daramola, GRV removed her husband and the Labour Party chairman because they were not Igbo. She further noted that he took the tickets of all the Yoruba candidates in the House of Assembly and replaced them with Igbo candidates, a move she finds unacceptable. She further stated that God will reward her according to her work, adding that she knows Gbadebo well.
Daramola’s statement suggests that there may be some underlying tensions within the Lagos State Labour Party, and she is not afraid to speak up against perceived injustice. Her accusation against GRV highlights the importance of transparency and fairness in the political arena.
