Wales Forward, Gareth Bale recently announced his immediate retirement from football. He revealed this through an emotional letter which he shared online. In this letter, he appreciated his family, friends, ex teammates as well as his previous football teams.

Bale began his amazing career in Southampton and gradually, he grew into one of the best football wingers of his generation. Bale continued his amazing performance at Tottenham, and this impressive performance made Real Madrid sign him. Gareth Bale’s best football moments were in Real Madrid.

In Real Madrid, he played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema, and these three were popularly called the BBC. All three players played a key role in Real Madrid’s Champions league triumph under Zinedine Zidane. However, just after winnin three consecutive Champions league titles, Ronaldo and Zidane left the club.

Bale had always had injury problems, and after a few seasons, his performance dropped, and he lost favour in the eyes of Ancelotti and some Real Madrid fans. Bale eventually left Real Madrid and rejoined Tottenham on loan. Bale scored 16 goals and provided three assists on his return to Tottenham.

However, to the surprise of a lot of fans, Bale wasn’t signed. Bale eventually returned to Real Madrid, before he ended his career at Los Angeles. Ronaldo departure from Real Madrid might probably one of his biggest regrets in his football career.

This is because since the Portugese legend left Real Madrid, he has neither won the Champions league nor the Ballon Dor.

However, he still achieved a lot of success in Juventus, and performed impressively on his return to Manchester United. Gareth Bale on the other hand could not continue this consistency after leaving Real Madrid, despite being four years younger than Ronaldo.

Bale has now retired at the age of 33, while Ronaldo is almost 38, and is still playing top football. Despite this success, Ronaldo is still being criticized by media and people. This proves that Cristiano Ronaldo deserves more respect than he is receiving.
