It’s Thursday night in Glasgow and Rangersfans have been waiting all week for this one.

Two weeks ago they were in dreamland as the mighty Borussia Dortmund fell to Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men.

This time, Rangers continued their dream of going on a run all the way to the Europa League final by beating Red Star Belgrade 3-0 in an action-packed encounter at Ibrox.

Ryan Kent won an early penalty which was dispatched by James Tavernier then Alfredo Morelos added a second before Allan McGregor denied Red Star a way back from the spot.

Then Leon Balogun all but secured the victory with a towering header early into the second half.

The Serbian champions had been their chances with VAR ruling out three goals, which shows that this tie is still perhaps far from over.
