Renowned Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu has candidly shared the reasons behind the failure of his marriage to his ex-wife, Ibiere Maclayton.

In a recent interview with The Punch, the popular entertainer attributed the breakdown of his marriage to his failure to seek divine guidance and navigate the challenges they faced as a couple.

During the interview, Julius Agwu openly discussed his marriage and the struggles he encountered, including his battle with a brain tumor.

He revealed that his ex-wife’s attraction to his financial success played a significant role in their marriage. However, when he faced serious health issues, the dynamics of their relationship changed.

Agwu explained that his health challenges placed strain on their marriage, and despite seeking medical treatment and overcoming his health issues, his ex-wife ultimately chose to end their union.

He expressed regret over not seeking divine guidance during their marital difficulties.

In his words, “I believe that any marriage without God would not last. When I married my wife, I did not even consult God. Some of us got married when there was so much money, and at that time, practically every girl wanted to be with us. But, after marriage, if anything happens to one, they would say, “I don’t want this man again”. I suggest that people should consult God first before getting married.”

According to the 50 years old actor, while the experience had imparted a valuable lesson to him, he didn’t rule out the possibility of considering marriage again.
