The 2023 General Election has come and gone, but the hate speeches, ethnic bigotry, religious differences and rancour it has left behind remains unabated.

It has however pitched anger, hatred, bigotry and it likes among Nigerians.

Following this backdrop, the President of the Youth Fellowship, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Amazing Grace District, Evang. Adeleke Adeyemi has urged Youths and Nigerians to shun hatred, ethnic bigotry and religious sentiments, and allow peace, tranquility and unity reign supreme in the country.

Adeyemi said that regardless of our religion, beliefs, culture, tribe, norms and values, we are all created by God.

In his words, “God the maker of the Heaven and the Earth created mankind to dwell and occupy the earth.

“We are all from one source and creator who is God. Ethnic bigotry is a disaster and it produces evil which is not good for our economic development. We must understand that we are one Nigeria that speaks different languages.

“None of us choose what tribe to be born into. We just discovered you are an Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa and any other tribe.

“As a Yoruba boy, When I was in secondary school my closest friends were three wonderful Igbo boys who we are still friends till date. During my National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, I had a lovely Hausa friend who I found to be great.

“Politicians should not divide us by ethnicity. This would in no way help our dear country Nigeria.

“As a spiritual leader, I know that God loves diversity and He wants us to live in unity that is the only way we can build a great and sustainable Nation.

“We are a people of Love, peace and harmony let’s not allow ethnic bigotry bring division in our nation. United we stand to build a New and great Nigeria”, Adeyemi stressed.

The charismatic, eloquent and vibrant Adeyemi is a Graduate of Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Ladoke Akinola University of Technology, LAUTECH.
