Ogun State Electorates are perturbed that the incumbent Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, whio is seeking re-election on the platrfrom of the All Progreessives Congress, APC, was arrested in the United States over Credit Card Fraud and forgery in 1986, in which Governor Abiodun confirmed himself seems to have been swept under the carpet.

Though, Governor Abiodun claim that he was only arrested and not convicted by the Court of Law, but this is worth pondering upon as regards his integrity, truthfulness and sincerity in paddling the affairs of the State for the next Four years.

It would be recalled that members of his political Party called for his disqualification during the last election and during the Party’s Primaries,but it was said that it wasn’t enough to disqualify him from seeking second term in office.

Concerned Ogun Electorates are bothered that giving the State to someone who lacks integrity and someone with questionable character spells doom for the State and its development.

The electorates are bothered that the case is been swept under the carpet, urging the electorates not to make such mistake in voting for a Governor that rose to prominence through fraudulent means.

A concerned Ogun State electorates said that it is disheartening that the Number One citizen of the State amass his wealth through fraud shows that he lacks integrity and a bad role model to the youths in Ogun State, urging the electorates to do an integrity check before casting their votes.

It would be recalled that Sahara Reporters published the criminal record of how Abiodun was jailed in 1986 for credit card fraud in Miami Dade Florida, USA.
The governor was said to have used a pseudo name (Shawn Michael Davids) with the aim of concealing his criminal identity.

The record revealed that Abiodun was jailed for committing criminal offences which bordered on credit card fraud, petty theft and check forgery.

He was arrested on November 7, 1986, for fighting and injuring a police officer in an attempt to resist arrest.

While being processed at the station, his fingerprint was run through the crime database and it was discovered that the Adedapo Oluseun Abiodun being processed for detention was the same as Shawn Michael Davids.

His criminal record and history were thus cemented and he was jailed.

According to some documents obtained by SaharaReporters, Abiodun’s jail number was 8600B9436.
