Erling Haaland became the fastest player to score 20 Premier League goals after firing a brace in Manchester City‘s 3-1 win over Leeds.
The Norwegian was making an emotional return to the city of his birth, which proved to be fertile ground for him to achieve the historic feat in just 14 games.
Haaland, who was born in Leeds when his father Alf-Inge played for the Whites, took until the 51st minute to get on the scoreboard
After Rodri broke the tie for the visitors just before half-time, Haaland doubled the Citizens’ lead after tapping home into an empty net after Jack Grealish sent him the ball.
And Haaland was picked again by Grealish 13 minutes later to seal all three points, with Pascal Struijk scoring a late consolation.
