The Super Eagles of Nigeria will have a chance to return to winning ways on Thursday when they confront Costa Rica in an international friendly matchup.

The three-time African champion will be going into the game after they were defeated 2-1 by Algeria in their last warm-up game, and they will be looking for a victory over the senior national team of Costa Rica on Thursday to end their three-game losing streak.

Ahead of the much-anticipated encounter, the Super Eagles team which comprises home-based players have departed for San Jose, Costa Rica to begin their preparation. The 18-man squad left Nigeria on Sunday evening and they are expected to hold their first training session on Monday under the watchful eye of Salisu Yusuf, the manager of the team.
