Fast rising Islamic Gospel Musician, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso Is confirmed to have died today.

 

The news of her death was shared by popular Ilorin based cleric, Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da’awah his official Facebook page on Tuesday morning.

 

Also confirming the development is the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Jubril Gawat, who is a relative of the deceased tweeted, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” Q 2 V 156.”

 

Sources close to the Late Musician said that she gave up the ghost in early hours of today Tuesday September 24, 2024.

 

She was said to have been sick for few days and she was getting better, before she bid the world farewell.

 

She was well known for her enchanting voice and religious songs, which deeply resonated with many in the Muslim community.

 

Her loss is deeply felt among her fans and the broader Islamic music scene – with the news of her death widely shared.

 

The sad news of Rukayat Gawat’s demise soon spread on social media, and fans shared their condolence messages.
