Leicester City booked their spot in the next stage of the Carabao Cup this afternoon after beating Gillingham 1-0 at the MEMS Prestfield Stadium. The first 45 minutes of the match was uneventful as neither sides could open the scoring despite them having decent chances at getting a goal. The foxes immediately got their goal few minutes into the second half as Nigerian International, Kelechi Iheanacho found the back of the net in the 56th minute to make it 1-0. The 26 year-old achieved a new feat with his goal as he has now scored more Carabao Cup goals (16) than any other player since his first appearance in the competition in 2016.
