Tunji Alausa, Minister of Education is likely to join the Lagos State Governorship Race ahead the 2027 Election, as he will announce his intention to succeed Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as Governor of Lagos State.
Speculation is rife that he may soon tender his resignation as Minister of Education, and vie for th Lagos top job under the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
There has been confusion in Lagos on who succeed Governor Sanwo-Olu, with different names been suggested as the next Governor of the State.
Some of the names that have come up for the Lagos Governorship seat include; former Head of Service, HoS, Lagos State, and now personal Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the current Chief of Staff to President Tinubu; Femi Gbajambiamila, Seyi Tinubu, Femi Hamzat and now, Tunji Alausa.
