Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun is turning his back against a proposed move to Kuwait.
Super Eagles centre-back, Leon Balogun has turned down juicy offers from Kuwait and has opted to listen to suitors from the UK, 234sportsng.com can exclusively report.
Three top Kuwaiti clubs had inquired if the former Rangers defender will be willing to move to the Middle East for a staggering offer of 2m dollars a year deal, but fresh facts from Balogun’s camp revealed that the light-skin defender won’t put money ahead of comfort.
” All i can say is that Balogun may not consider going to middle-east no matter how juicy the deal is. He feels he still has a lot to offer in Europe and would prefer to listen to suitors from England.
Money means nothing to Leon and he puts his game first. As you can see, he is yet to respond to the offer,” said a close aide who pleaded for anonymity.
Balogun became a free agent after Rangers failed to renew his contract, which ended on June 30.
He linked up with the Gers on a free transfer in 2020.
The Nigerian international won the league title in his first season at the Ibrox and also featured regularly under former manager, Steven Gerrard.
