Arsenal managed to grab the first goal in their crucial Premier League game against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon. It was an impressive performance from Arteta’s men, and they clearly deserve the result in the first 30 minutes.
Arsenal started the game on a good note as they dominated possession and looked very promising in the final third. Nottingham did a good job to contain Arsenal in the early minutes despite the overwhelming pressure.
However, it still took the away side less than five minutes to concede a goal in the game. Martinelli gave Arsenal the lead in the 4th minute after receiving a good pass from Bukayo Saka.
One of the major talking points of the first half was Martinelli’s iconic celebration after giving Arsenal the lead. The Brazilian was spotted alongside other teammates posing for a picture with Pablo Mari’s jersey.
It is believed that the iconic celebration was a strong way to show support for the Arsenal defender who had been stabbed by a madman at a shopping mall in Italy some days ago.
Martinelli had to pick up Pablo Mari’s jersey during his celebration because he wants the defender to know that everyone at Arsenal is doing everything possible to support him at this critical time.
