Neymar scored one of the coldest penalties of 2022 as Brazil recorded an impressive 5-1 win over South Korea on Thursday.

Brazil’s star man netted two goals in the rout – both from the penalty spot – while Richarlison, Philippe Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus also got themselves on the scoresheet.

Neymar has now scored a remarkable 73 goals for Brazil in 118 appearances. Four more goals and the Paris Saint-Germain ace, 30, will equal the great Pele’s record.

Neymar put his national team 2-1 up shortly before half-time courtesy of a cooly-taken penalty.

He then stepped up and took an even colder penalty in the 57th minute.

The flamboyant forward took a few steps to his left before running towards the ball, stuttering his run up and then locking eyes with South Korea goalkeeper Kim Seung-Gyu.

He then stroked the ball past the ‘keeper with an effortless side-footed shot.

Well, it was actually more of a pass than a shot.

The goalkeeper stood back up but could do nothing as the ball rolled past him into the net.
