Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Henry Onyekuru was spectacular yesterday for Turkish Super Lig giant Adama Demirspor in their first league game of the new season away from home against Giresunspor at the Cotanak Stadyumu.

The 25 year old Nigerian international made his move to the club from Olympiacos this summer and was able to break into the team’s starting XI line-up following his superb displays in the pre-season tour.

He was able to kick-off his spell at the team as he scored a classic goal that made the difference on his debut which as such sealed the whole maximum three points for them away from home.

The visitor in the first half took a double lead courtesy of goals from Gokhan Inler and Younes Belhanda in the 23rd and 28th minute respectively to make it two goals to nil going into the half time break.

The host in the 56th minute got the deficit reduced with a goal from Borja Sainz to make it two goals to one before Henry Onyekuru opened his goal account in the 82nd minute to make it three goals to one.

The host in the late minute to the end of the game were able to put one back with a goal from Rahmetullah Berisbek which ended the game three goals to two at full time.

Henry Onyekuru with his great influx of delivery and immediate impact in the game will be hoping to keep the tempo going for his team in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
