President Muhammadu Buhari has surprisingly nominated his Special Adviser on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie as the Substantive Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDc, with her name sent to the Senate.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, during plenary today at the Hallow Chambers of the Senate read the nomination letters sent to the senate by the president naming 14 others as members of the board.
Onochie has been a vocal voice on Social Media, championing and defending the cause of his principal at any given opportunity.
It would be recalled that she was nominated by President Buhari as a Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, which generated uproar, with political activists and Parties querying the rationale behind her nomination and also been a ardent All Progressives Congress, APC, Member, prompting the Daura, Katsina State born President to rescind his decision on her nomination.
