Senator Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alleged that Governor Ademola Adeleke is allocating a budget of N400 million for his personal expenses. As reported by The Nation, Senator Basiru expressed his concern about Governor Adeleke’s performance in governing Osun State in a video posted on his Facebook page.

He said, “It is now public knowledge that Adeleke is being packaged for people as he is still strewn to his sister’s apron. The machinery of the government is grounded if his sister is not in town. He is using N400million for domestic cost despite that he is living in his sister’s home in almost one year of his government.”

Basiru went on to mention that they believe divine intervention is facilitating their efforts. He stated that if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had administered the state effectively, it would have been a formidable challenge for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to assume power in the upcoming election. Basiru also noted that the state’s allocation has tripled compared to the period when the APC was in governance.
