The Nigeria movie industry, Nollywood has been thrown into mourning following the death of Obinna Nwafor popularly known as Saint Obi, was veteran Actor in the movie industry.

The 57-Year it was gathered died of a protracted illness early in the week after battling an undisclosed illness for several months with no successful treatment.

Though the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, is yet to issue a statement as regards this development.

He was was an Nigerian actor, film producer and film director, he is known for his roles in Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crimeand Last Party.

He major in theatre arts at the University of Jos, UNIJOS, and came into the acting scene in 1996, after doing a commercial for Peugeot on Nigeria Television Authority, NTA.

The late thespian has starred in over 60 movies.

In 2001, Saint Obi produced his first movie titled Take Me to Maama, where he starred as Jerry, alongside Ebi Sam, Rachel Oniga, Nse Abel and Enebeli Elebuwa.
